WordPress sends out a yearly review with interesting random facts about your blog, and I also researched a few things in my statistics because their review didn’t list them and made me curious. 🙂 If y’all wanna know about my year in the wonderful world of blogging, here’s a quick overview:

My top eight most viewed posts were:

Grandma's Sunday Special Ritz Cracker Chicken

Grandma’s Sunday Special Ritz Cracker Chicken

By the way, the post about my great-grandma’s Ritz cracker chicken https://pennypinchingpeach.com/2013/06/11/grandmas-sunday-special-ritz-cracker-chicken/ was the number 2 post for 2013, barely dropping to number 4 a year and a half after it was first published! If that doesn’t convince you it’s a doggone good recipe, it has held a special place in the hearts and tummies of at least five generations I’ve personally witnessed gobbling it down in my family. Y’all miiiiiiight wanna try it! 😉

My most commented upon post, not surprisingly for me, was What Lung Cancer Can’t Do https://pennypinchingpeach.com/2014/11/12/what-lung-cancer-cant-do/ It wasn’t surprising for me because it was one of the most deeply heartfelt posts I wrote in this past year, and cancer touches so many lives.

My Facebook page was barely a blip until midway through 2014, when I finally actually started utilizing it for more than just auto-publishing my posts. I now also use my Facebook page to share related posts of interest, extra awesome deals I don’t want to flood my actual blog with, one day flash giveaways I stumble across and more. If you’re not a follower, it’s definitely worth becoming one! I limit my posts so that it doesn’t become too spammy, so no worries about my flooding your feed with a bunch of junk! 😉 http://facebook.com/pennypinchingpeachpage

Thanks to all of you who read, share and comment here at Penny Pinching Peach! You make this possible and worthwhile! Are there any topics or issues you’d like me to talk about this year? What kind of content would you like to see more of? Suggestions are welcome! Don’t forget, y’all matter! 🙂

  1. You could reach a lot of fire fighters’ and police officers’ spouses, I don’t know how you network out to them but I bet you would get a few more followers. I am finding that if I find people who are writing what I write, and follow them, then they follow me, and on it grows.

    • That is a good idea. I haven’t found a lot of opportunities to network out to firefighter wives, although I belong to groups that don’t allow link shares. I do search out other mommies to young children, homeschoolers, frugal living, etc., and that type of blogger is easier to find. I need to try to find more public safety wives. Good suggestion!

  2. I enjoyed seeing what your top posts were for 2014. I am not surprised your post on what lung cancer can’t do was at the top. That was a wonderful heartfelt post! I look forward to reading your posts in 2015.

    • I am glad you enjoy it and try some of the fun things with your little ones! I enjoy doing creative things with my kids, although I haven’t done as much lately due to all day morning sickness. Thankfully, that’s fading away to mostly mornings now. 🙂
